About

Thank you for visiting my blog! My name is Adam Brister and I am passionate about the outdoor lifestyle and being the best hunter and fisherman I can be. I grew up in a family that was very involved in the outdoors and learned to appreciate the natural resources and opportunities we are blessed with in this country. I spent my summers fishing with my grandpa and my falls hunting with my dad, starting out with squirrels and eventually moving on to big game. Being raised in Wyoming, my first big game animal was a pronghorn antelope.

I began writing about my outdoor adventures as a hobby 6 years ago have been involved in the outdoor industry for about the same amount of time. I began as a member of the Muddy Outdoors pro staff and I now work with several other companies as well. I also contribute web content and unique writeups for films on HunterVids.com, in addition to a few other projects.

I'm very involved in the fight against public land transfer, where politicians are moving to transfer ownership of federal lands throughout the country to the states they are in. While I can certainly understand the logic that lands can be better managed by those close to them, I believe that states will eventually run out of financial resources to manage these tracts of land, forcing them up for sale to the highest bidder. As a hunter, angler, hiker, camper, biker and photographer who pursues these activities almost exclusively on public land, that is unacceptable to me. I am working to establish a Backcountry Hunters and Anglers Chapter in Southwest Wyoming to defend our public lands and keep them in public hands.
